Karen Bloom is the principal of Bloom, Gross & Associates, which was founded in 1988. With close to 20 years in the recruiting industry, Karen's specialization in the fields of marketing and communications is reflected in her firm's areas of practice. Karen championed the growth of Bloom, Gross & Associates and is responsible for new business initiatives as well as overseeing day-to-day operations and maintaining a strategic role in the searches conducted by the firm.

Karen is Vice President of Programs for EMA Chicago, a Special Interest Chapter of SHRM. She held national board positions for over 3 years for EMA and EMAF and continues her national involvement with SHRM by serving as a member of the Workforce Staffing and Deployment Panel. Widely quoted about her observations and experiences regarding employment trends and practices, Karen was a contributor to the book, On Staffing: Advice and Perspectives from HR Leaders, published in 2004 by John Wiley & Sons.

Karen has a BS from Ball State University and an MSW from the University of Michigan.
